What to bring on a yacht charter in Miami (and what to leave)
A short, practical packing list for a day on a yacht in Miami — so you can step aboard and simply enjoy it.

A yacht day is easy to pack for, but a few small things make a big difference. Here is what our captains tell guests.
Bring
- Reef-safe sunscreen. The Florida sun is strong even on cloudy days, and reef-safe formulas protect the bay.
- Hats and sunglasses, ideally with a strap.
- Swimwear and a light layer. The breeze on the way back can feel cool, especially in winter.
- Soft-soled shoes or sandals. Most yachts are barefoot on deck; avoid heels and black soles.
- Towels, unless the yacht page says they are included.
- Photo ID for every adult, especially if you plan to drink. The drinking age in Florida is 21.
- Food and drinks if you are not ordering catering. Most yachts have coolers and ice.
- A waterproof phone pouch if you plan to swim with your phone.
- Seasickness tablets if you are sensitive. In the bay the water is usually calm.

Leave at home
- Glass bottles and red wine unless the crew has said they are fine.
- Valuables you would be sad to lose overboard.
- Large hard suitcases. Soft bags store more easily.
- Confetti and glitter — they blow into the water and are hard to clean.

Arrive on time
Charters start and end at the booked time, and late arrival does not extend the day. Plan parking or a ride to the marina, and arrive 15 minutes early. We send the exact dock and contact of the captain before the charter.
Ask us about
- Water toys: floating mats, pools, paddle boards and, on some yachts, Seabobs and jet skis.
- Catering, cakes, flowers and decorations.
- Pick-ups from a private dock or a hotel marina.
Every yacht page lists what is on board. If something matters to you, mention it when you enquire, and we will confirm it before the day.
