Bachelorette and birthday yacht parties in Miami
How to plan a celebration on the water in Miami: choosing the yacht, the route, music, food and the details guests remember.

Miami is one of the best cities in the world to celebrate on a yacht: warm water, a skyline, sandbars and sunsets, all within a short cruise. A good party on board is planned a little differently from one on land.
Choose the yacht for the group, not the photos
- Count every guest, including the birthday person. Each yacht has a strict guest limit, and the captain cannot go over it.
- Six to ten guests fit comfortably on a 38–50-foot yacht. Twelve to thirteen need more deck space; larger groups need a large yacht.
- Shade matters. For daytime parties, a flybridge or a hardtop keeps guests comfortable.

Pick the route
- Haulover Sandbar for energy, music and other boats — the classic bachelorette choice.
- Nixon Sandbar for a calmer day with swimming and skyline views.
- A sunset cruise past Star Island and the downtown towers for birthdays, anniversaries and proposals.
Most parties work best at four hours: enough time to cruise, stop at a sandbar and come back at golden hour.

Music, drinks and food
- Most yachts have a Bluetooth sound system; bring your playlist.
- On most yachts you may bring your own drinks and food. Ask before bringing red wine or glass.
- Guests must be 21 or older to drink alcohol in Florida.
- We can arrange catering, cakes, flowers and decorations so everything is ready when you step aboard.
Details guests remember
- A floating mat or pool at the sandbar.
- Matching swimwear or sashes for the bride and her friends.
- Timing the return for sunset, with the skyline lighting up.
- Photos: tell the crew the moments you want captured.

A four-hour plan
- Hour one: cruise and settle in. Leave the marina, drinks out, group photos with the skyline behind you.
- Hours two and three: the sandbar. Anchor at Haulover or Nixon, swim, float, meet the other boats.
- Hour four: the golden ride back. A slow pass by Star Island as the light turns warm — this is when the best photos happen.
Want the sunset? Book a later start so the last hour lands on golden hour; we will time it.
Ask before you book
- Is there a bathroom on board? Most yachts from about 40 feet have one; some smaller sport boats do not.
- Is there shade?
- How good is the sound system?
- How much open deck space is there?
Common mistakes
1. Booking too late. Saturdays in season go weeks ahead.
2. Underestimating the sun. Sunscreen, water and shade breaks — dehydration ruins the evening.
3. No meeting plan. Send the exact marina pin to the whole group the night before.
4. Too many DJs. Choose one phone for the music.
5. Confetti and glitter. They blow into the water; choose banners and balloons instead.
Frequently asked questions
How many people can come?
Each yacht has its own guest limit, shown on its page. For bigger groups we can arrange a larger yacht or two yachts cruising together.
What if someone gets seasick?
Biscayne Bay is usually calm, and most routes stay in protected water. Ginger sweets or seasickness bands help those who are sensitive.
Plan ahead
Saturdays fill early, especially in winter and spring. Message us with the date, the number of guests and the vibe you want, and we will hold the right yacht. Browse the selection or ask our concierge.
